Evolve was set up to make CBT informed Counselling & Psychotherapy more accessible to everyone from all walks of life. Here at Evolve, our goal and commitment to practice is to provide an environment where our clients feel safe and understood in a confidential and compassionate space. In this space, our clients can work through anything they may be currently facing or struggling with, alongside the help of a professional therapist.

LLOYD HORGAN

With a number of years of experience working in the mental health sector, Lloyd holds a BA. Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and an MA. (Master’s Degree) in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Additionally, Lloyd has qualifications in Applied Social Studies & Mental Health Nursing.

 

In regards to Clinical experience, before setting up Evolve - Lloyd worked for MyMind in Limerick City dealing with clients with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

 

Lloyd previously sat on Limerick’s Youth Advisory Panel for Jigsaw Mental Health for 3 years and was also involved in night patrols with Limerick Suicide Watch. Lloyd has been involved with a number of organizations and mental health-based projects big and small, both locally and nationwide. 

 

Lloyd currently engages in regular clinical supervision and is professionally accredited by APCP (Association of Professional Counsellors & Psychotherapists Ireland) Membership number - MBR10780 from where he abides by their ethical guidelines and advice for best professional practice alongside regular CPD training.

 

Lloyd Horgan is available by appointment for both short-term and long-term therapy.

CLAIRE GREANEY

Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in Counselling Skills & Psychotherapy Studies in 2018, Claire has since worked with clients from all age groups on a voluntary basis, and more recently in an online based private practice that she set up in 2021. 

 

Claire believes that everyone can benefit from counselling, and operates on the philosophy that through building trust, creating a safe environment, prioritizing a client's well being and ensuring they always feel heard, clients will learn healthy ways to cope with their emotions, heal and positively move forward in their lives. Claire also engages in regular clinical supervision.

 

Claire understands that some of our experiences can be more difficult to cope with than others, which can have a negative impact on how we see ourselves and the world around us. Claire helps her clients to understand their experiences, feelings and behaviours with the aim to restore a positive self and world view, equipping them with skills and tools that will help between sessions, and life after therapy.

 

Making the client feel safe is a core aspect of Claire's practice. Claire says "I truly understand how hard it can be to ask for help, however I do believe that asking for help can be one of the best decisions we make in life, because we all need help sometimes."

SAMANTHA GRACE

Over the past number of years Samantha's dedication to the mental health sector has been a core aspect of both her personal and professional life within a number of voluntary and professional roles.

 

Alongside Samantha's therapeutic role here at Evolve, Samantha additionally works as a family support worker which involves assisting clients through difficult times in their everyday lives and supporting families to acquire skills to promote positive change and improve their psychological well-being.

 

In addition, Samantha has over five years experience working within a residential setting for young people supporting them in the development of their overall emotional well-being. As part of working within a supportive capacity across all her roles, Samantha also works as part of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with other health professionals to ensure all clients receive the support they require.

Samantha graduated with a BA in Early Childhood Care and Education and is currently completing a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Samantha also partakes in regular clinical supervision & CPD training.

 

Samantha is available by appointment for both short term and long term therapy.

 

Samantha believes that beginning therapy is one of the bravest journeys which one will embark on. Samantha says "By allowing this time for yourself, you will open the door of opportunities to becoming the best version of yourself." Samantha adds that truly knowing yourself is one of the most essential features of wisdom.

BRÓNA DUNNE

Having worked and volunteered for a number of years within the mental health sector, Brónas passion for mental health and overall well-being is not only a core aspect of who she is professionally but also a central part of her character within a personal context. 

 

Bróna holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy and is currently studying a Masters of Science in Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University. Bróna is additionally in the final stages of completing a Masters of Education from the University of Essex.

 

Prior to her therapeutic role at Evolve, Bróna held various teaching and counselling roles, including working as a Head Teacher with children and youth from the ages of 2 - 18 years, gaining a wide range of experience aiding young clients deal with issues and challenge's they face during those early developmental years.

 

Brónas previous counselling roles included Ceim ar Cheim, Ird Duhallow and Limerick Youth Service. Currently, alongside her time at Evolve, Bróna works as a school counsellor. 

 

Alongside the above, Bróna engages in regular CPD training and clinical supervision.

 

Bróna is available by appointment for both short-term and long-term therapy.

 

Bróna sincerely believes that “It is an inevitable fact that people may struggle with their mental health throughout life, however this does not mean that they cannot learn to live with and cope with these challenges.” Bróna also adds that “With the right support and a structured evidence based plan in place, anybody can overcome psychological adversity”

JACK LYNCH

Jack brings a calm and compassionate presence to his therapeutic work, blending academic expertise with hands-on experience in supporting individuals facing emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges. With a Bachelor of Education in Education and Psychology and currently completing a Master’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Jack has a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside person-centred and trauma-informed approaches.

Before beginning his clinical practice, Jack worked in a DEIS Band 1 school in Limerick, where he supported children and families facing emotional and behavioural difficulties.  This experience laid the groundwork for his deep understanding of anxiety, low self-worth, and relational difficulties, which he now brings to his therapeutic work with adult clients.

 

In addition to his professional practice, Jack has also volunteered with several mental health and educational initiatives, including school-based wellbeing programmes and community organisations focused on improving access to emotional support services for families from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Jack’s therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing. He emphasizes the creation of a non-judgmental, empathetic space where clients feel truly heard, understood, and empowered. By helping clients build emotional insight, Jack believes therapy fosters self-discovery and resilience, guiding individuals to overcome obstacles and embrace their full potential.

Jack says: “You deserve a space where you can be your authentic self — free from the need to hide what is going on, expectations, and judgment. It’s here that true healing begins. In that space, clients can rediscover their strength, reclaim their voice, and find clarity in their direction forward.”

NIAMH COLLINS

With a strong academic foundation and a client-first mindset throughout her clinical experience, Niamh is passionate about supporting clients through emotional and psychological challenges. Niamh brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each individual’s story to her therapeutic work.

Niamh holds a BA in Psychology from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, and a Master’s in Psychological Therapies from the University of Edinburgh and now specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Throughout her career so far, Niamh has a wealth and depth of experience supporting clients across a wide range of presentations inclusive of anxiety, low mood, OCD, and self-esteem difficulties to name a few.

Before joining Evolve, Niamh gained invaluable experience working as a care assistant in Edinburgh, where she developed strong skills in compassionate client care and communication. Niamh also has previously worked at Children’s Ark School & University Hospital Limerick, further deepening her understanding of working with clients in clinical and educational settings.

Niamh’s therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centred values, with an emphasis on creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel seen and supported. She is particularly interested in early intervention and psychological prevention, tailoring each therapeutic experience to suit the individual needs of her clients.

Alongside her work at Evolve, Niamh regularly engages in clinical supervision and CPD to maintain a high standard of ethical, evidence-based practice.

Niamh is available by appointment for both short-term and long-term therapy.

Niamh believes that struggling with mental health is a part of many people’s journey, but that “everyone has the capacity to grow and heal when given the right support.” She feels therapy is about helping clients discover their own strengths and build resilience in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
